What the fair covers

That shapes both the exhibitor mix and the questions worth preparing before you arrive.
Dates, venue and getting there
The fair runs from 11 May to 13 May 2027 at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt. It runs for 3 days, which is short, so deciding which halls to prioritise before arriving makes a difference. Frankfurt combines a major exhibition ground with one of Europe's largest airports, which makes it among the easiest cities to reach for international buyers. The venue is connected to the centre and the airport by rail.
Planning your visit
The fair is most useful for judging quality differences that photographs hide. Materials, stitching, finish and packaging all become obvious in person, and minimum order quantities and price breaks are usually easier to negotiate face to face. For IMEX Frankfurt, that means preparing ahead of the May dates and arriving with a target list of stands.
Language and interpreting support
Exhibitors at major European fairs generally handle English well, particularly at international events. Language support becomes more relevant with smaller regional manufacturers, where technical staff may be more comfortable in the local language than the sales team suggests. An interpreter already working in Frankfurt saves further time simply by knowing the venue and how to move around it.
After the fair
The follow-up work is about protecting the first order. Packaging and container loading affect how much arrives saleable, and unit price means little if a proportion is damaged in transit. Buyers commonly arrange a pre-shipment inspection and check packing specification separately from product quality.
